ESVNU Abstract Award 2015, Lisbon 10-12 September

The ESVNU abstract award aims to stimulate research and clinical development in veterinary nephrology and urology, in particular encouraging the involvement of young academics. The authors of scientific abstracts presented at the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Companion Animals (ECVIM-CA) Congress are eligible for the award. The scientific committee rates the abstracts and presentations and decides who will receive the award. The award for the best oral presentations in 2015 were generously sponsored by the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) and Pharmacross. ESVNU would like to thank both BSAVA and Pharmacross for their support.

The ESVNU prize for the best oral abstract presentation in 2015 was awarded to Dr T.M.Soerensen from the University of Copenhagen for her abstract entitled ‘Evaluation of Different Sampling Methods and Criteria for Diagnosing Canine Urinary Tract Infection by Quantitative Bacterial Culture’.

Second prize for the oral abstract presentation was awarded to Dr Marques from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Lisbon for her presentation entitled ‘Major International High-Risk Resistant Human Klebsiella Pneumoniae Lineages are Causing Urinary Tract Infections in Companion Animals’
